Portable units are noisier than splits — around 50–55 dB, because the compressor is inside the room. Not ideal for a bedroom.

No — this is a cooling-only model. If you need heating, look at the Comfee or LG heat pump splits.

Why choose a portable over a split?

When you can't install a split — a rental property, a body corporate that won't allow outdoor units, or a room where you only need occasional cooling. No installation means no installer cost.

What are sleep curves?

Sleep curves gradually adjust the temperature and fan speed overnight to maintain comfortable sleeping conditions without getting too cold.

Can I move it between rooms?

Yes — it's portable on wheels. But you need a window to vent the hose in each room, so in practice it stays in one place most of the time.

How does this compare to the Midea Portable?

The Jet-Air AI Portable is 12 000 BTU vs the Midea's 9 000 BTU, so it cools a larger room. It also has AI features and sleep curves at a lower price.
